Mr. Bharat Shah is a qualified rank-holding Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and MBA (Finance) from IIM, Calcutta, having topped the class in Finance. Bharat has nearly 31 yearly of experience in the Indian capital markets with deep interface in Indian corporate world. He represents comprehensive insights in Indian Capital markets (equity and fixed-income) with strong emphasis on bottom-up investment philosophy. He has a considerable understanding of global businesses and stock picking is a special strength. The Investment Philosophy emphasizes buying only quality businesses enjoying superior growth but at reasonable valuations. As Director/ Partner of ASK Group, he provides strategic guidance and support to the CEOs in managing their respective businesses but is intimately involved with, and supervises, the Investment management business of the Group (the other three businesses of the Group are: Real estate, Wealth Advisory and Private Equity).
He is deeply passionate about Investing and all things that go with it. In 2013, he authored a book entitled “Of Long-Term Value & Wealth Creation from Equity Investing: Observation, Ideas & Reflections”. Bharat has written several articles on investment in top Indian business magazines
and has been a speaker at several forums on India opportunity, the key recent ones being the
Endowments & Foundations event in Boston, USA, in October 2009 and the Emerging Manager’s event in Chicago, USA, in May 2010. He has featured in investment series “Wizards
of Dalal Street” and “Classroom”. He has also featured in a book “India’s Money Monarchs” with
a 30-page chapter on him. His interests include Reading, Travel and Classical Music. In 2014,
he was featured by Forbes India as a member of “20 Market Wizards”.

- For the period of 5-year ended December 31, 2015, three of the Investment strategies (Indian Entrepreneur Fund, India Select and Strategic portfolio) have featured among the top ten basket of domestic/offshore India funds.
- For the period of 5-year ended December 31, 2015, Indian Entrepreneur Fund has been ranked No 1 among Indian funds by Morning Star and has also been rated 5- star.
- For the period of 4-year ended December 2015, three of the Investment Strategies (Indian Entrepreneur Fund, India Select and Life) have featured among the top ten basket of domestic/ offshore India funds.
