Ms Aditi Phadnis Mehta is the political editor with Business Standard. She is responsible for coordinating political coverage for the business paper. She appears regularly as an expert commentator on television channels and radio. Her comments have been published in The Economist, The Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Ms Mehta is the author of an edited volume titled Political Profiles (BS Books, 2008). She began her career in journalism in 1983. She has lectured on 'Reporting Politics' to interns at the School of Convergence. She was a Jefferson fellow at the East West Centre, Hawaii, in 2006. Ms Mehta joined Business Standard in 2000 after working with the weekly newsmagazine Sunday. Prior to that, she had worked with The Independent, The Indian Post and Newstime.

She is an alumnus of Miranda House College, University of Delhi. In 2009, Ms Mehta was awarded the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Political Journalism.
